"Racing Extinction" utilized 360-degree videos to offer viewers an immersive experience, enabling a deeper emotional connection with endangered species and their habitats. Gillette  - Pressure Chamber

Ready to tackle the Pressure Chamber? Embrace the challenge, unleash your daring spirit, and take the ultimate plunge!

Introducing the Gillette Clinical Clear Gel Pressure Chamber: a virtual reality journey fueled by the prowess of Discovery VR. Brace yourself for five breathtaking experiences as you're transported from daring canyon swings, a ride-along with a pro skater on the MegaRamp, head-first at 90+ mph down an olympic skeleton run, take a high-speed twisting rollercoaster ride, and walk the suspended and dangerous slackline, – a quest driven by the pursuit of unparalleled freshness. Inside the Pressure Chamber participants are connected to wearable devices to track when their pressure spikes as they go on their VR journeys.

Gillette and Discovery teamed up to unveil the male body's response to pressure, culminating in a three-day experiential extravaganza at SXSW inviting fans to dive into the Gillette Clinical Pressure Chamber firsthand, amping up their adrenaline.

The Pressure Chamber campaign amassed an impressive 5MM+ video views collectively, leaving an imprint of 7.5MM Facebook impressions and over 1MM Facebook video views. Consistently outperforming Discovery's benchmarks, the content resonated deeply. Above all, this campaign resonated with the millennial demographic, delivering an engagement-rich experience that struck a chord for Gillette.

Shark Week Dives Into 360º

Discovery took a "bite" out of virtual reality with "Surviving Sharks," their immersive 360-degree video in honor of Shark Week. Australian Navy diver Paul de Gelder, who "surfaced" from a personal shark encounter, "dove" deep with viewers, sharing his gripping tale and "fin-tastic" insights about sharks. This "jaw-dropping" experience was just a ripple in a series of VR adventures that Discovery launched across various platforms, with select Shark Week highlights making a "splash" on the Discovery VR apps and Shark Week's Facebook page.
